The hallmark of Dehesa la Granja is a 3,000-square-meter underground cave built in 1750, which is dug directly into the limestone rock. On the nose there hints of fresh red berry fruits, such as red currants and raspberries, together with toasted and roasted coffee bean notes. The palate is silky, elegant and deliciously rich with good acidity and very pleasant, well-integrated tannins. Intense red berry fruit flavours come through in the finish. The oak is harmoniously integrated bringing hints of toast and vanilla, characteristic of a wine aged in American oak.
