Robert Parker has been a regular visitor and customer for over 20 years offering an indication as to how highly recommended their range of wines are. The winemaking at Roger Sabon has been in the hands of the talented Didier Négron (whose wife is a Sabon) since 2004.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe vineyards are planted in some of the best sites of Châteauneuf-du-Pape including, Les Cabrières, La Crau, Courthezon and Nalys, all of which contain “galets roulés”.  The plantings are dominated by Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Mourvèdre and the vines have a minimum age of 50 years. Fermentation takes place in small cement vats and small stainless steel cuves, with pumping over and a cuvaison which lasts for 20 days at controlled temperatures.
