The initial distillations were purely for their own enjoyment, but slowly, word spread about their gin and so the Bonds' decided to decant the liquid into porcelain bottles and see if anybody would be interested in tasting it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThings have since moved on and the Forest Distillery has relocated to join their sister Whisky Distillery at the iconic Cat \u0026amp; Fiddle in the Peak District National Park. Boasting as been the highest altitude distillery in the UK, the ultra-premium spirits are distilled in a beautiful stone barn. Distillation includes Gin, using botanicals sourced directly from the nearby forest, and single malt English Whisky. The focus of Forest Distillery is on locality, using local grains, clear natural spring water, wild yeast and English Oak. The spirits are packaged in striking, locally made, porcelain bottles.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eForest Gin gin is recognised as one of the worlds finest spirits having won an unprecedented two separate double-gold medals at the San Francisco Spirit Awards. The Forest Whisky was also awarded the World Whisky Masters Gold Award in 2021.
