The rum was then replaced with 14-year-old whisky for a final period of maturation. On the nose, it’s a tropical delight. You still get that classic heather honey, but it’s now joined by rich toffee and fresh notes of passionfruit and mango. It smells like a Speyside distillery took a summer holiday in the Caribbean. The palate is exceptionally rounded.
