Berton Vineyards Yenda New South Wales in Australia

Berton Vineyards began as a personal dream in 1996 when founders Bob and Cherie Berton purchased a rugged plot of land in High Eden, a premier subregion of the Barossa Valley. Situated at an impressive 450 metres above sea level, the gently rolling hills presented a challenging start, with the young vines initially struggling to establish themselves in the dry, unwatered soils. This resilience paid off, and as the estate expanded, the family acquired a historic, state-of-the-art winemaking facility in Yenda, New South Wales. Today, the winery skillfully manages fruit from its own premium estate alongside some of the most renowned viticultural areas across South Eastern Australia, establishing itself as a powerhouse of reliable quality.

The winemaking philosophy is centered around creating vibrant, fruit-driven styles that offer everyday drinkers immediate pleasure and exceptional value. Under the guidance of winemaking director James Ceccato, the cellar team relies on modern, temperature-controlled technology to retain the pure varietal character of the grapes. The collection heavily highlights the diverse regional strengths of the area, sourcing crisp Chardonnay and aromatic Pinot Grigio from cooler climate zones, alongside incredibly robust, deeply concentrated red varieties that thrive in the abundant Australian sunshine.
