Dufouleur Père & Fils | Nuits-Saint-Georges

Vineyards in Nuits-Saint-Georges, France

The village of Nuits Saint Georges is the beating heart of the Burgundy wine region, and the Dufouleur name is woven deeply into its history. Founded in 1848 by Symphorien Dufouleur, the house of Dufouleur Père & Fils quickly established a reputation for producing outstanding wines, famously serving as an official supplier to the Imperial court of Napoleon.

While the brand remained under strict family control for over a century and a half, the modern era has seen the house transition under new, dynamic ownership. Today, it operates as a highly respected premium négociant and so, alongside their historic holdings, their expert winemaking team carefully sources the very best grapes from over forty different villages across the region. This broad reach allows them to maintain incredible consistency and quality year after year.

The sparkling wines produced here are particularly impressive. They apply their centuries of winemaking knowledge to produce outstanding Crémant de Bourgogne. By using the exact same traditional methods found further north in Champagne, they deliver complex, elegant, and finely structured sparkling wines that represent brilliant value and the authentic taste of classic French winemaking.
