Bodega Mustiguillo is a celebrated family-owned estate situated in the striking Mediterranean landscape of Valencia. The estate is globally recognised for its dedication to sustainable, organic viticulture, operating entirely without irrigation to dry-farm traditional gobelet-trained vines. To maintain soil health, the vineyard team utilises natural cover crops like mustard and legumes, providing essential organic nutrients directly back to the earth. In the cellar, the winemaking approach is highly precise yet wonderfully gentle, handling the harvest on a strict parcel-by-parcel basis. Fermentation occurs using only indigenous wild yeasts in large, older wooden vats, a traditional method that avoids masking the pure fruit profiles and fully expresses the authentic characteristics of the native grapes.
As a proud member of the prestigious Grandes Pagos de España, the estate boasts its very own exclusive D.O.P. classification for the renowned Finca Terrerazo site. The collection is fiercely dedicated to championing indigenous varieties, heavily focusing on old-vine Bobal, a grape that produces deeply coloured, refreshing Spanish red wine bursting with dark fruit and distinctive Mediterranean herbal accents. Complementing the reds is the rare white Merseguera grape, cultivated even higher at 900 metres to produce crisp, textured Spanish white wine with brilliant mineral tension.
