Companhia de Vinhos Invencível | Douro

Rita Marques (a young dynamic Portuguese winemaker) and Marc Kent (long term cellar master of Boekenhoutskloof in South Africa and maker of the ever popular Chocolate Block blend) founded Companhia de Vinhos Invencível in 2020. The two winemakers, who had previously collaborated in 2015, 2016 and 2017 in South Africa and 2018 and 2019 in Portugal, now embrace a bigger commitment by acquiring an estate in Casais do Douro, near Pinhão.

This is their first joint property and the home of the brand. It is also where their wines are assembled. The labels for the wine represent the fight between Adamastor and the Portuguese sailors of the Age of Discovery. In addition to their newly created portfolio of Douro wines they are also crafting a white wine from Vinho Verde called “Natural Mystic”. This is definitely a property to watch.
