CORSICA

Corsica Island View

Often referred to as the "Island of Beauty," Corsica occupies a unique viticultural space between France and Italy. Its rugged, mountainous landscape and Mediterranean climate create a mosaic of distinct microclimates, where vineyards are cooled by sea breezes and planted on a variety of soils, from granite and limestone to volcanic clay. This environmental diversity allows Corsican wine to offer a sense of place and wildness that is truly its own.

The island’s identity is anchored by its indigenous grape varieties. Nielluccio, closely related to Tuscany’s Sangiovese, is the king of the north, producing structured, savoury red wines with notes of wild herbs and dark fruit. In the south, Sciaccarello thrives on granitic soils, offering a more elegant, perfumed, and lighter-styled red with a distinct peppery finish.

White wines are equally compelling, dominated by the Vermentinu (Vermentino) grape. These wines are celebrated for their aromatic intensity, vibrant citrus notes, and a signature saline minerality that reflects the island’s maritime influence. Whether you are exploring a crisp, sun-drenched Rosé or a complex, age-worthy red, our collection highlights the artisanal producers who are capturing the untamed spirit of this historic Mediterranean island.
