The Dezat name has carried significant weight in the Loire Valley for over forty years, a legacy originally established by the renowned André Dezat. After the historic family estate was passed down through the generations, the third generation of cousins made the amicable decision to split the domaine and forge their own distinct paths. This transition marked the birth of a brilliant new chapter led by brother and sister Arnaud and Stéphanie Dezat, who have built brand new cellars just a stone's throw from the original family home.
In the vineyard, the sibling duo pursues a highly traditional and thoughtful approach to farming known as 'lutte raisonnée'. This sustainable method of viticulture ensures they only intervene when absolutely necessary, allowing the natural health of the soils to flourish. The careful attention to the vines is immediately evident in the glass, with their highly anticipated inaugural 2021 vintage delivering an exceptional level of finesse and elegance.
Their beautifully crafted portfolio centres around classic Loire Valley expressions, including three distinct takes on Sancerre and a superb Pouilly-Fumé. To complement these traditional family strengths, Arnaud and Stéphanie also acquired two hectares of premium land in Menetou-Salon. This exciting addition brings a fresh, vibrant dynamic to their range, offering everyday drinkers a fantastic opportunity to taste the future of one of the region's most celebrated winemaking families.
