Domaine Les Pallières | Gigondas

Nestled just north of the striking Dentelles de Montmirail, Domaine Les Pallières is widely regarded as one of the finest wine estates in the Southern Rhône. Located in the commune of Gigondas, this beautiful property functions as a vibrant natural ecosystem. Twenty-five hectares of ancient vines, averaging nearly seventy years of age, sit on stepped hillsides surrounded by cherry, fig, olive, and walnut trees. To ensure these historic slopes thrive, the vineyard terraces have been carefully reinforced to capture and retain rainwater, allowing the deep-rooted vines to flourish in the warm climate.

The estate holds an incredible history, having operated as a continuously running family farm from the fifteenth century right up until the late nineteen nineties. When the property slowly began to fall into disrepair, the Roux brothers decided to sell the historic site in 1998. It was rescued by Daniel and Frédéric Brunier, the brothers behind the legendary Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate Vieux Télégraphe, alongside their longtime importer Kermit Lynch. This partnership breathed new life into the historic domaine, transforming it into a modern powerhouse while fiercely protecting its heritage.

Since the purchase, monumental improvements have been made both in the vineyards and the cellar. A completely new winery was constructed, allowing the team to receive harvested grapes directly into gravity-fed tanks. This remarkably gentle handling ensures that each individual parcel of fruit is treated with incredible precision.
