The history of the domaine is deeply rooted in family tradition. It stands as one of the oldest estate-bottlers in Burgundy, a practice that began when Joseph Matrot took the helm in 1908. Today, Joseph’s grandson Thierry and his wife Pascale continue this legacy alongside their two daughters, Adèle and Elsa, keeping the entire winemaking process firmly within the family.
A key element behind the quality of these white wines is the age of the vines themselves, which average over thirty years old. While younger vines often produce large quantities of fruit, older plants naturally yield fewer grapes.
