The Montenisa Estate, located in the village of Calino in the heart of the Franciacorta appellation, was purchased in 1999 by the Antinori family to give them a foothold in Italy’s leading region for high-quality sparkling wine. Since then Antinori have applied their usual high standards, combining rigorous vineyard management, partial barrel fermentation, and extended ageing on the lees, in order to craft a range of world-class, traditional method sparkling wines.
