NORTH AMERICA

North America, led by the magnificent West Coast of the United States, is a remarkably diverse wine landscape. From tiny, passionate artisan winemakers to globally recognised names, it is home to some of the most exciting and celebrated wines in the New World. Along this dramatic coastline, cooling Pacific winds sweep up to 50 miles inland, creating the perfect, balanced conditions for world-class vineyards to thrive.

California is the undisputed powerhouse of the region. It was the very first New World area to truly challenge the traditional European heavyweights and remains famous for producing some of the globe's greatest Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and rich, warming Zinfandel. While Napa and Sonoma are the famous stars, we also love championing the incredible, high-quality wines emerging from spots like Monterey, Paso Robles, and Santa Cruz.

Heading up into the Pacific Northwest, Oregon offers a cooler, maritime climate that has become completely synonymous with breathtaking Pinot Noir. The region famously put itself on the map in 1979 when an Oregon Pinot Noir from the Eyrie Vineyard trounced prestigious Burgundies in a blind tasting, shocking the traditional wine world! Alongside these elegant, world-class reds, Oregon is a fantastic source for crisp Chardonnay and Pinot Gris.

Further north still, Washington State offers a completely different landscape. This dry, semi-desert region has quietly become the second-largest producer of premium wine in the USA. It is internationally renowned for crafting brilliant, structured reds inspired by Bordeaux and the Rhône Valley, standing proudly shoulder-to-shoulder with California's very best.
