Petrolo | Val d'Arno

Petrolo is located in the Val d’Arno within the Tuscan hills, an area not widely known. It is a family-owned estate with 26 hectares of vineyard, located in the hills of eastern Chianti, just outside the boundary of Chianti Classico. Often described as one of Tuscany’s 'Cult' wineries, this Super Tuscan estate has a history dating back to the 1700s. However, it was in the 1990s that Petrolo made a name for itself amongst the leaders of the Tuscan revolution, thanks to 'Galatrona' its expression of Merlot, first produced in 1994.
