For your information, there are two variations in the spelling: whisky and whiskey. "Whiskey" is common in Ireland and the United States, while "Whisky" is used in all other whisky producing countries. Whisky made in Scotland is known as Scotch Whisky, or simply as "Scotch"
Whisk(e)y or whisky-like products are produced in most grain-growing areas and differ in base product, alcoholic content, and quality. Malt whisky is made primarily from malted barley. Grain whisky is made from any type of grain.
