Cave de Pomérols | Languedoc Roussillon

Beauvignac Vineyards in Picpoul de Pinet AOP

The story of Cave de Pomérols is anchored in a sun-baked coastal landscape stretching across 1,800 hectares of prime southern Languedoc countryside. Founded in 1932, this forward-thinking wine cooperative has steadily grown and prospered by focusing on clean, expressive winemaking that remains genuinely accessible. Today, operating under the prestigious banner of the Vins de la Famille de Beauvignac, 350 affiliated vintners pool their passion and finest land near the maritime waters of the Bassin de Thau lagoon. Intense Mediterranean sunshine is beautifully balanced by cooling sea breezes, creating a unique coastal terroir that slows grape ripening to lock in a crisp, vibrant, and mouth-watering freshness.

The ultimate crown jewel of this coastal terrain is the famous AOP Picpoul de Pinet, which accounts for over 400 hectares of their finest land and roughly 20% of the winery's total production. Grown on clay-limestone hillsides right next to local oyster beds, this ancient local grape is crafted into a bone-dry, laser-sharp white wine celebrated for its signature green apple bite and refreshing salinity. It represents the pinnacle of their crisp, northern-influenced white winemaking, delivering an unmatched level of coastal authenticity that has made the estate globally famous.

The remainder of their premium fruit is dedicated to a versatile range of beautifully expressive styles classified under the IGP Pays d’Oc and IGP Côtes de Thau regional titles. Here, the winemakers focus entirely on pure, single-variety expression without heavy oak, crafting smooth, velvety whites like unoaked Chardonnay, pale and intensely refreshing maritime rosés, and juicy, supple reds packed with ripe summer berries. Designed for effortless everyday drinking, these diverse styles offer a fantastic match for mid-week meals—pairing naturally with fresh seafood, grilled chicken, or casual weekend pizzas.
