Founded in the nineteen-sixties by Giuseppe Inama, this pioneering family estate sits in the heart of the Veneto. While many regional producers were making light, forgettable whites, the family quietly secured premium vineyard plots on Monte Foscarino. This specific hillside is defined by its pure volcanic basalt soils, which impart a deeply smoky, flinty minerality and a magnificent backbone to their famous Soave Classico.

Rather than treating their native Garganega grapes lightly, the winemaking team focuses on old vines and lower yields to ensure maximum flavour concentration. They also encourage their wines to rest on their lees to gently soften the acidity and build volume. This careful approach creates a brilliantly rich, highly textural Italian white wine that feels wonderfully broad in the glass, offering inviting layers of field flowers, baked citrus, and sweet honey.

The bold vision of the family extends well beyond white grapes. Just a short distance away lies the Colli Berici, a remarkably warm area marked by hot, iron-rich limestone soils. Realising this terrain was completely unsuited for white varieties, Stefano Inama took a massive leap of faith and transformed the estate into Europe's leading champion of the rare Carmenère grape. Today, beautifully presented behind their signature antique woodcut labels, these deeply fruity, cocoa-laced Veneto red wines offer a thrilling, highly accessible alternative for those looking to try something brilliantly different.
