Oban Little Bay Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
The name Oban translates from Gaelic as "Little Bay," making this release a beautiful tribute to the historic coastal town the distillery calls home. To create Oban Little Bay, the master blenders take their classic, gently smoked coastal spirit and allow it to marry in custom-built, exceptionally small oak casks. Because these casks are much smaller than standard barrels, the liquid has far more contact with the wood. This intensified maturation process creates a remarkably rich and incredibly smooth single malt Scotch whisky. When you pour a dram, the classic Oban notes of gentle sea salt and orange zest are still present, but they are completely wrapped in deep, warming layers of sticky dried fruit, dark chocolate, and Christmas spice. It is a wonderfully full-bodied and approachable Highland single malt that feels generous and rounded on the palate.
