ALSACE

Tucked between the Vosges Mountains and the Rhine, Alsace is a region of breathtaking beauty and exceptional geological diversity. Its unique position creates a rain-shadow effect, making it one of the driest and sunniest wine-growing areas in France. This allows the grapes to enjoy a long, slow ripening period, resulting in Alsace wines that possess incredible aromatic intensity balanced by a signature refreshing acidity.

The region is famous for its "Noble" varieties. Riesling thrives here, producing bone-dry, mineral wines of great precision and longevity. For those seeking something more exotic, Gewurztraminer offers heady scents of lychee and rose petal, while Pinot Gris delivers a richer, textured mouthfeel. Unlike much of the rest of France, Alsace labels its wines by the grape variety, making it easy to navigate for any wine lover.

While white wine accounts for the vast majority of production, the region’s Pinot Noir is gaining international acclaim for its bright, crunchy red fruit and elegant structure. Additionally, the traditional method sparkling wines, known as Crémant d'Alsace, provide a sophisticated and lively alternative to Champagne. From the steep, volcanic sites to the historic family estates, our collection showcases the purity and heritage of this unique borderland.
