Champagne Charles Heidsieck Blanc de Blancs NV | Gift Boxed
Charles Heidsieck Blanc de Blancs is a breathtakingly refined Champagne that marks the celebrated return of a historic style for the house. Having produced a pure Chardonnay bottling in the 1960s, the house stepped away from the style for decades before reintroducing this non-vintage cuvée to their permanent collection. Crafted entirely from the Chardonnay grape, the fruit is selected from premier sites across the region, blending parcels from the renowned Côte des Blancs with the Montagne de Reims and Montgueux. This thoughtful balance brings together vibrant freshness, generous warmth, and the unmistakable, velvety depth that defines the celebrated Charles style. To achieve its signature richness and consistency, the house enriches the blend with twenty five percent aged reserve wines before letting the bottles rest patiently in ancient chalk cellars. In the glass, it pours a pale, crystalline gold with an exceptionally fine, dancing bead of bubbles. The nose opens with an inviting perfume of ripe white peach, candied citrus, and sweet honeysuckle, followed by delicate notes of fresh hazelnut and zesty tangerine. Every sip delivers a stunning contrast between vibrant energy and an unexpectedly silky, creamy texture, finishing with a mouth-watering, clean mineral lift. Because it offers such an incredible balance of lightness and generous body, this is a truly special bottle to pop open for significant celebrations or a lavish weekend dinner. While sensational as an aperitif, it possesses the weight and structure to shine alongside delicate seafood and poultry. Pour a chilled flute alongside seared scallops with garlic butter, a platter of smoked salmon blinis, or a classic roast chicken with herb butter.
