Crafted by the only historic Port house to remain continuously in Portuguese hands since its foundation in 1751, Ferreira Late Bottled Vintage Port is a beautiful showcase of traditional Douro winemaking. This estate-bottled fortified wine is a single-harvest blend of indigenous grapes, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz. The fruit is hand-harvested from steep, sun-drenched river terraces and traditionally foot-trodden in stone lagares to capture maximum colour, concentration, and structural depth. The port wine spends upto six years maturing gently in oak casks before bottling, meaning it arrives completely ready to enjoy immediately without the need for decanting. It pours a deep, almost opaque ruby red, releasing an intense bouquet of ripe blackcurrants, wild blackberries, and prunes, seamlessly mingled with complex hints of dark chocolate, cocoa, and subtle peppery spice. On the palate, it delivers a full-bodied, velvety texture where the natural, warming sweetness is perfectly reined in by a vibrant line of acidity and firm, high-quality tannins.
