C.V.N.E. Contino Rioja Reserva 2020/21
The C.V.N.E. Contino Rioja Reserva is an iconic single estate Riojan legend. Made from perfectly ripe, hand-selected and harvested grapes from Contino's own vineyards around Finca de San Rafael. The blend combines Tempranillo with small quantities of Mazuelo, Graciano, and Garnacha grapes which are matured in used oak barrels for two years, before bottling and a further years rest in Contino's underground cellars before release. Deep ruby red in colour, the nose is very expressive, with fruit expression and elegance standing out. Red fruits are well integrated with spicy notes adding to the finesse. On the palate, the wine is well balanced and with a very long finish.
