Imperial Rioja Reserva 2020
C.V.N.E. Imperial Rioja Reserva is a powerful Rioja red wine sourced from forty-year-old vines grown across the Rioja Alta region. The blend is predominantly Tempranillo, with small additions of Graciano, Mazuelo, and Garnacha grapes. To preserve the fresh fruit aromas, the grapes are hand-harvested and immediately chilled. Following fermentation in large oak vats, the wine goes through a meticulous maturation process. It rests in a combination of French and American oak barrels, with the liquid from each vineyard parcel aged entirely separately to develop its unique character before the final blending. This careful approach avoids heavy extraction, yielding a beautifully fine and precise profile. It delivers a powerful underlying structure where dark fruit flavours integrate seamlessly with elegant oak spice.
