Le Pauillac de Château Latour 2019
Created as the third wine of legendary First Growth Château Latour, Le Pauillac de Château Latour offers an exceptional entry point into one of Bordeaux's greatest estates. Crafted predominantly from younger vines across the estate’s historic gravel terraces, it delivers classic Latour pedigree in a more immediate and accessible form. The 2019 vintage was exceptional across the left bank, and this bottling shines with a generous proportion of Merlot alongside traditional Cabernet Sauvignon. Matured in around 20% new French oak barrels, the nose reveals dark cassis, plum, and subtle sweet spice. On the palate, it is rich, full-bodied, and remarkably smooth, balanced by fine-grained tannins and a long, poised finish. While built to evolve gracefully over the next decade, its supple texture and vibrant fruit make it wonderfully drinking today. A splendid match for roasted lamb, ribeye steak, or rich mushroom dishes.
