This is an incredibly special release from IDDA, the brilliant winemaking partnership between the legendary Gaja family and Etna expert Alberto Graci. With IDDA Rosato, they have created a standout Sicilian rosé that completely changes what you can expect from a premium pink wine. Grown high on the sun-drenched southern slopes of Mount Etna, Europe’s highest active volcano, the vines absorb a unique character from the dark, mineral-rich soils. To create this distinctive style, the winemaking team co-ferments the local red grapes Nerello Mascalese and Grenache with a splash of the native white grape Carricante. In the glass, it opens up with lively aromas of wild strawberries, crushed raspberries, and a touch of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it delivers an instant hit of bright, juicy red fruit that balances perfectly with a crisp, refreshing crunch and a distinctive, stony freshness on the finish.It is a brilliantly versatile volcanic wine that works beautifully on its own or alongside simple, everyday dinin g.
